I must have walked under a ladder, past a large group of black cats on Friday the 13th, while stepping on all the cracks in the sidewalk and then spent hours inside my flat with 20 open umbrellas, because my current string of luck SUCKS!
Along with some upsetting and irritating difficulties with apartment stuff, a string of sicknesses that has had me on and off at work, and a handful of other bad luck experiences, I unfortunately went to the underground [secure] car park this morning to find my back passenger window shattered - my car broken into. AHHHHH!!! So after meeting with the police for a bit, (only to find out that my car was one of 7 broken into last night) a handful of phone calls to the insurance company and glass repair folk, the forensic team finger printing my car, my window was finally replaced by 2pm and because of some idiot my bank account is 80 pounds less than it was before I woke up this morning.
On a positive note in this whole situation, nothing was taken out of my car (kind of surprised about this one), I wasn't hurt nor emotionally impacted (I was offered emotional support by the police for a shattered window...eh?!), and it was all 'fixed' so to speak in one day. In combonation with some of the other exciting things that have been happening around my apartments, this incident is making me question the level of security when living in a city centre. Oh the joys...
